In Issy-les-Moulineaux, the city council’s environment department have drawn on the Citadel tools to create a Tree Finder application to help to identify remarkable trees around the city. These trees are notable for their age, size, shape and/or histories. Fifty remarkable trees have been selected and assigned a QR code. Each QR code refers to a photograph of the plant, foliage or flower in question and allows access to further information. With nearly 7,000 trees in streets, parks and public spaces across Issy, the city has a large heritage of trees still relatively unknown to the general public. This application, based on an initial TreeFinder application produced in Ghent, allows this heritage to be uncovered whilst also providing further information for keen botanists. The final application can be viewed at: http://www.items.fr/apps/citadel/treefinder-issy/.
